Work Day
2023 McCann Creek Brushing Wrap-up
Thanks to all who came out to brush on McCann Creek this winter brushing season. 30 different volunteers put in a combined total of almost 300 hours on five separate work days, improving angling access along nearly 1,200′ of highly productive, but practically unfishable water choked with tag alder and honeysuckle.

Work days are volunteer-powered, but it still takes a few hundred dollars each year for supplies like oil, saw chains, herbicide and safety gear. Any amount is welcome to offset the costs.
If you’ve enjoyed some of the streams we’ve cleared please consider making a donation today – make sure to add a note saying “Work Day Donation.”

Knight’s Creek Documentary
Wondering what chapter stream brushing projects are all about? Check out this short film documenting a spring day in 2021 when our volunteers cleared brush and invasives from 500′ of banks along Knight’s Creek in Dunn County.
Many thanks to Jake Fields and Josh Smeltzer of Draft Design House for producing the video.
